Day 107....Day 93 post transplant...Day 55 just the three of us

Today was a long day for all of us. It started out with getting up, ready, and out the door by 8:30. We were at the clinic around 8:50. It was cool and breezy out, but Alek and I chose to go sit in the grass for a while anyway. It started to feel like it was going to rain around 1030 so we went down stairs to the atrium.

The clinic.

Randy's blood work all came back good except he needed some potassium so they just gave him a pill form of it. His stats were all good form a resting position, but when he got up and walked around his o2 stat dropped to 89%. When resting it is 96%. Regardless it should not drop like that. Randy got done clinic at 1200. When we got home Alek was napping in his car seat and Joe was outside preparing for a jog, so we stood and talked with him until Alek woke up.

We had a couple hours to spare before going back to the clinics for an EKG and ECHO. We left at about 300pm. We did not get done until 530pm. By then the BIG thunderstorms and tornado watches has come rolling in so we just wanted to get home. Alek was exhausted with NO afternoon nap just the one he took from 12-1. I kept him up and made dinner so he would just crash early. I made a casserole dish, which Alek loved. It was just egg noodles, tomato alfredo sauce, cream of mushroom, and cheese on top all baked together. Who knows I just threw it together and added sausage to Randy's. Alek and I played for a long time on the floor he laughed SOO hard tonight. I have some funny videos for you all I may get to post tonight if not tomorrow.

As for Randy we are just trying to not think to much about things. He is still having difficulty breathing when he walks from point A-B, but we are managing. Tomorrow we will get some results from all the heart tests and hopefully RULE OUT a heart issue. Then Thursday for Friday we should get the donor percentage number back to see if the 8% went UP UP UP PLEASE I HOPE IT DID.....

Saturday is suppose to be beautiful and there is a neat festival called A Taste of Durham. It is music, food, wine, beer, and children's festivities and art all day for 4 bucks. It is neat you get to sample all the area restaurants foods and stuff. We are hoping to maybe attend. Scott, Steph, and Edgar brought it to our attention and are hopefully coming to spend some time here this weekend. It is a little lonely around here this week, so we are hoping to see them.........

Well I am going to leave you with some pictures and videos.

SMILE
This is Alek when he is ready for bed after No afternoon nap and spending all afternoon crawling up and down the LONG clinic hallway while da-da was in his test, which he has a BLAST doing.

This is Alek needing an afternoon nap, but we had to leave for the appts.

This is Alek playing with Da-Da today......Randy thinks his face looks fat it really is just the angle, and the way he is leaning on the bed. He does however look much healthier these days.

Videos

The first one is Alek making his new noise that makes me laugh so hard. It is too funny........The second video is Alek and Da-Da playing and making noises together. Enjoy..........

We are praying hard for good news today!! Randy--there is no way you could look FAT--like Kate said, you finally are looking HEALTHY again and we love it!! I also wanted to let Dove know that I bought a luminary for Sage yesterday (thanks for posting the link to her page--she is beautiful). My friend here at work asked me to donate to the American Cancer Society (as I do every year) and I was very pleased to add Sage to my list of cancer survivors and unfortunately I have one that I bought in memory of my friend Wayne who passed away from colon cancer when we worked at Wyeth together--I miss him dearly!! He was like a second Dad to all of us there. I was very happy to see Sage looking so WELL!!
